Dental Implants
Dental Implants are metal fixtures, surgically fastened to your jawbone below the gums, onto which artificial teeth can be mounted.
These metal implants actually become anchored to your bone through osseointegration (the bone fuses to the metal). This process provides stable support you can rely on while eating and speaking. It is possible to immediately replace the permanent teeth with fixed teeth with the help of implants in couple of days.
There are three main types of implants – endosteal, subperiosteal and basal implant. The implant process that's best suited for you depends on your jawbone's size, shape, and health. Your dental professional will be able to offer the best recommendation.
Endosteal implants are titanium cylinders (screws) or blades (wide, flat metal) that are surgically inserted into your jawbone at the location of missing teeth. They are the most widely used implants. Surgeons typically allow about 4-6 months for your bone to osseointegrate to the implant before placing an abutment (the connecting piece that your new teeth will be fastened to) into the screw or blade. That may sound like a long time to wait, but don't worry – you can still eat, drink, and talk as you normally do during this process.
Subperiosteal implants rest on top of the jawbone and under your gum tissue. Through osseointegration, they fasten to your jawbone over time. There are a few reasons your dental professional may recommend them over the more commonly used endosteal implants. You may have bone loss in your jaw, or the shape or health of your jaw may not support the surgical insertion of metal required by endosteal implants.
Basal implants are used to support single- and multiple-unit restorations in the upper and lower jaws. They can be placed in the extraction sockets and also in the healed bone.
Their structural characteristics allow placement in the bone that is deficient in height and width. Basal implants are the devices of the first choice, whenever (unpredictable) augmentations are part of an alternative treatment plan. The technique of basal implantology solves all problems connected with conventional (crestal) implantology. It is a customer-oriented therapy, which meets the demands of the patients ideally.
If you've noticed that your gums are swollen it may be a sign of an infected tooth.
Sometimes we can have inflamed gums after flossing or brushing too hard, this is different. The swollen gums will be tender and a bit painful to the touch and will remain swollen.
The darkening of the gums is a sign that the gums are decayed. If there is an infection and the tooth is dying, the gums will begin to decay.
This is a tell-tale sign that you may need a root canal.
The aligners treatment achieves optimal and accurate results in a short period of time. Treatment duration can be shorter compared to conventional fixed orthodontic treatment. Since aligners can be removed during eating, there are no food restrictions and you can have food of your choice during treatment. The amount of force delivered by aligners is calibrated, so treatment with aligners is painless.
Clear aligners are also recommended foruse after you complete your orthodontic treatment. These appliances help to maintain the results you want until your teeth have settled down and finished moving.
Clear aligners are orthodontic devices that are a transparent, plastic form of dental braces used to adjust teeth.
Treatment begins with taking x-rays and photographs for diagnostic purposes, followed by capturing the patient's bite, teeth, and gums via a bite registration and polyvinyl siloxane impressions or an intra-oral digital scanner. The latter method has greatly increased in popularity in recent years as digital scanning technology has improved. The computerized model suggests stages between the current and desired teeth positions, and aligners are created for each stage. Each aligner is worn for 22 hours a day for one to two weeks. These slowly move the teeth into the position agreed between the orthodontist and the patient. Before starting the treatment, tooth-coloured small tags are placed on some teeth, which help in movement of these teeth. These are called as attachments. Patients are recalled in 2-3 months interval to review the progress of the treatment.
TRANSPARENT The CLEAR ALIGNER splint is clear and transparent, almost invisible which enables youto talk and laugh without restrictions or impediment.
COMFORTABLEThe high-quality splint makes your mouth feel good. It is pleasantly smooth, with no poking braces or wires.
REMOVABLE
You can take the aligners out at any time and put them in again quickly and easily, e.g., when eating or cleaning.
HYGIENIC
You can easily keep the CLEAR ALIGNER clean, e.g., using toothpaste and tooth brush. Since the aligners can be removed during brushing, maintaining oral hygiene during aligners treatment is never difficult.
EFFECTIVE
The aligners treatment achieves optimal and accurate results in a short period of time. Treatment duration can be shorter compared to conventional fixed orthodontic treatment.
AFFORDABLE
In many cases, the therapy is more cost effective than other types of treatment for correcting the position of teeth.
NO FOOD RESTRICTIONS
Since aligners can be removed before eating, there are no food restrictions and you can have any food of your choice during treatment.
LESS PAINFUL
The amount of force delivered by aligners is calibrated, so treatment with aligners is painless.
A chipped or cracked tooth is a two-fold sign of a tooth that may need a root canal. For one, perhaps there was trauma on the tooth that created the chip or crack and has now caused inflamed or infected pulp. Secondly, the tooth may be so far decayed or infected that it is cracked or chipped from being dead. Either way, you'll need likely a root canal to try to save the remainder of the tooth.
If your gums are tender to the touch, or even without touch, you may have root canal pain. When at the dentist, be sure to mention your tender gums.
1. Once you lose your natural teeth, your jaw bone and soft tissues begin to absorb or disappear over time.
When implants areplaced within the jaw, it stimulates the remaining bone to grow and mesh around the metal, alongside small blood vessels, preventing bone loss.
2. Preserved bone structure prevents the face from exploiting a ‘sunkenʼ look.
3. Implants facilitate and restore lost tooth structure, therefore you can eat, chew and bite as was with your natural teeth.
Today I can say I made the right choice! I walked into this clinic randomly based on reviews to search for a better (Less
painful!) solution to my dental crowding...l wanted to smile with no hesitation (The one you see in movies!).
Dr. Bhatia made all this so easy for me & took my smallest concerns into
consideration while carefully planning an overall effective treatment (Experience truly speaks for itself!) His team was also immensely courteous and supportive. All in all I couldn't be happier with the results....feels like I'm smiling a lil more each Day! Highly Recommended!
I have never seen such a committed doctor in my life. Initially my mother was hesitant but after meeting Dr Virag Bhatia, she was very happy and comfortable...Very satisfied with the treatment.
I got a 1 year treatment for misaligned teeth and Dr. Virag Bhatia provided me with the best options. The whole treatment was smooth and the results are amazing! He has been very humble and helpful all throughout the treatment and his expertise is clearly visible in my successful treatment. Thankyou Dr. Virag Bhatia for giving me a perfect smile.
Excellent Doctor!!
I have undergone an Implant procedure for my front 10 upper teeth and eventually got a perfect smile.
My sincere recommendation and reference to all is to go visit Dr. Virag, my favorite dentist, if they have any dental problem.
I am glad to know Dr. Virag and would like to share my case. The reason for my visit was to take his opinion after being a victim of an improperly fitted bridge for my upper front 10 teeth.
I had no problem with my teeth until I met with an accident in 2011 where my chin bones are fractured. Also, I lost my upper 10 teeth and my gums got reduced due to a major surgery. My mandible was immobilized for 4 weeks (during which I survived on liquid diet) and the fracture was healed.
Later, my broken incisors were root canal treated and replaced with a new bridge(Due to gums reduction no one gave me an option of implants so it was being fixed with permanent cement) During all these years, I got a couple of replacement bridges in Mumbai, Pune, Bhopal bt couldn't get permanent solution & a perfect smile.
I am so fortunate that I could see Dr. Virag who identified and fixed the problem. He has given me a permanent solution of implants by adding artificial gums (looks exactly like real ones) with my teeth to make my smile perfect. I am very thankful to Dr. Virag and his skillful
approach to address my case.
I am undergoing Invisalign treatment under Dr Virag's care and the experience has been nothing short of stellar. He always takes the time to listen to patients' issues and takes care to quench any apprehensions that we might have.
Timings are convenient and accommodating. Appointments are managed well and I never had to wait a lot at the office.
Dr. Virag even had my aligners delivered to my home when I had to move from Indore and the covid19 lockdown was just beginning, which greatly reduced the anxieties I had at the time. Strict cleanliness measures were taken upon visiting post lockdown this year which was excellent.
The treatment is going according to plan and I am fully satisfied. Hoping
the remaining 30% completes with zero issues like it has so far. Will post an update when done. Thanks a lot doc!

I got my braces from Dr. Virag Bhatia. I was a bit apprehensive when Virag sir said that I'd have to get 3 teeth extracted but he definitely made me feel at ease and it didn't even hurt. The whole process went smoothly with any obstacle. It's 1st October now and I've got my braces removed and have retainers now. I couldn't express how satisfied I'm with my whole treatment :) The whole team was amazing and patient. I'll highly recommend to just go with it if you're thinking of getting braces from Virag sir!
